Velvet residence

Velvet Residence Cusco was an outstanding stay — comfortable, clean, and perfect for travelers who value reliability. The rooms are modern and spotless, with cozy beds and excellent hot showers that feel amazing after long days exploring Cusco and the Sacred Valley. Water pressure and temperature were consistently great, which isn’t always guaranteed in the region. The internet is impressively fast and stable, making it easy to work, upload content, plan excursions, or stay connected. For digital travelers, this alone makes Velvet Residence a top choice. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive. They help with taxis, recommendations, and anything you need, always with a warm attitude that makes the stay feel personal. The location is safe, quiet, and convenient — close to restaurants, markets, and transportation, with easy access to the Historic Center and the airport. Overall, Velvet Residence offers comfort, cleanliness, fast WiFi, great showers, and exceptional value. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Cusco.

No heater in the room.

The room was modern and clean. Their is super fast WiFi throughout the property and the showers are excellent - good pressure and hot water. The property manager was welcoming and spoke excellent English.

It appears the property is yet to fully develop their staff processes. A host during the breakfast service would help guests find seats, understand how to order eggs and provide a cheery greating on arrival. While housekeeping services can be requested each day, the property might consider emptying bins and replacing toilet rolls as a minimum daily service. Internal noise carries through the building into rooms. Some form of sound dampening could be considered by the property...plants, curtains, sound dampening wall linings. It's a 25 min walk to Plaza de Armes, through a not particularly interesting part of town. The property is located just outside the pickup zone for some tour operators.
