"A great place for a book, for comfort, spa, water foils, kites, and a place to relax."

7.0

The hotel was recently completely renovated - they did an excellent job and the facilities, views, comfort, were all you could want. The cleanliness/housekeeping/grounds were all maintained to the highest level. There is new management, including chef, and they are clearly up-grading the to better training and food (which was good, not great) (much of the fresh food in Virgin Gorda has to be imported). The Spa and water-sport offerings are very good and staffed by very professional staffs.

The weakness to Saba is the lack of 'going-out-to-swim' spaces. The protected-from-wind/current areas are all reserved for boat tie-ups and docking. To go out and snorkel or just swim, one has to hire a boat to go to a different location (some of which are only 10 minutes away). I would recommend looking at some of the areas set up for larger boats/docking and establish their use for areas to go in for a smooth, current/wind-free swim.
