They had to twin size mattresses put together like a king size bed, but they were moving in all directions. Mattress was very uncomfortable and pillows were very very hard. breakfast was good and plenty . Location was good.

Great hotel to stay at coming from the US. You’re about 500 steps from the beach which seems like a lot but it’s not more than any other hotel. Beautiful view and friendly staff. I’ll stay here again next time we visit

The view from our balcony was breathtaking. The free breakfast and cappuccino in the morning was very much appreciated. More options than most places in Italy. When reserving I received an email and message asking whether we wanted the hotel to arrange for a driver to pick us up from the Napoli Central train station. We accepted and the driver was on time, helpful and efficient. The price of our room was surprisingly low for the value we received. 5 stars for Hotel Il Gabbiano. We hope to come back.

This is a magical little property run by the Guida family. Everything is perfect, from the rooms to the views, breakfasts, the common area/bar overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Pure solace.

Great location! I spent a lot of time researching where to stay while in Rome. Having been a student here many years ago, I knew the location I wanted to be in for convenience and accessibility and this hotel met that criteria. It's an easy walk to everything you would want to do and see in Rome and the convenience of restaurants around the hotel was an added bonus. We were on the 5th floor with a terrace. I know other reviews sited the noise level but I didn't find it that noisy. Heck folks, you are in a city, you are going to have street noise. The only negative review would be that the storm windows/door did not go up all the way so we didn't have a good view out the window and we had to duck under to exit to the terrace.
