Far enough away from the highway to not get any noise and feel a bit more remote. Plenty of parking out the front of our cabin. Spacious cabin as well.

We didn't know reception closes at 4pm on Sundays and weren't informed until 3:15. We were driving down from Cairns so were just lucky we were close enough by then. Also the metal teapot was filthy.

Air conditioner didn’t work

The cabin was modern, clean, well insulated, had good air-con, and was very well presented. The shower was a good size, but, as seems to be common with hotels/motels, the showerhead was positioned for short people.

The property was advertised as having "High-speed internet". In reality, it was so bad, impossible to connect. I don't know why they bothered having Netflix on the TV, even Netflix couldn't connect. There was no lighting in the narrow car park between the cabins, making entry and exit very difficult at night. Even finding the car cabin/park was a mission as they had allowed vegetation to cover the cabin number. The bed was comfortable, but on castors with no headboard, so every time you moved, the bed moved away from the wall and the pillows would fall down the gap. It was also the only place you could watch the TV from, so you had no choice but to put up with it constantly moving.

We recently stayed in a two-bedroom cabin and found it to be quite run down. The cold tap in the bathroom basin didn’t work, there was no grate in the basin drain hole, the hairdryer wasn’t functioning, the curtains in both the bedroom and living area had holes in them and the air conditioner which was located only in the main living area didn’t cool the bedrooms effectively making the nights uncomfortably hot even with the bedroom doors open. The key lock entry on the sliding door was also difficult to use. Other members of our travelling group stayed in the brand-new three-bedroom cabins, which were lovely, although the BBQ on one veranda struggled to heat properly. Another member of the group stayed on a caravan site with an ensuite, but the ensuite door didn’t lock. In the camp kitchen, the bins on Saturday night were already very smelly. The appliances were quite dirty, and the roof was rusty with wires hanging under the eaves where the brackets have rusted away. By Sunday night the bins were crawling with maggots both inside and out, and the smell was overwhelming. The onsite cafe, advertised as open until 11:00am, closed at 10:30am during our visit. We saw several other guests arrive after 10:30am hoping to buy refreshments and/or order pizza for the evening, only to find it shut. Staff also seemed inexperienced in making drinks with multiple people needed to prepare basic coffees and cold drinks. On a positive note, the Saturday night pizza itself was very nice and the messaging system used to advise that the pizza was ready was efficient and effective. Saturday night entertainment (solo guitarist/singer) was very good, but unfortunately it was raining and the area the musician was playing to at the cafe is not weather-proof, so guests were unable to sit to eat and listen. Several advertised facilities were also disappointing. The jumping pillow was not inflated and the basketball court had no hoops.
