Aloft by Marriott Austin Southwest

It was nice.

The staff was warm, friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated that the Front Desk Agent was wearing a Pride pin, which made me - as a gay man - feel welcome. The facility is clean and well-maintained. The blinds in the room did not operate, which seems to be an issue at every Aloft or Element I have stayed at.

We liked the pillows and comforters. The staff was great. But there was no real breakfast— just pre boxed tasteless stuff. We wish there had been a cook to order breakfast.

We were in 521 and couldn’t make the lower shower work. When it finally came on I was drenched. It was terrible. The sink needs a light over it for men to shave. We needed a bath mat and didn’t have one. Towels were stiff.

Although we did not get to stay long the staff and property were great!

Stayed here for the F1 race. Was close enough to be able to use share ride to get to the race. Plenty of restaurants around as well. Parking was also easy and free.

Check-in was a breeze, enjoyed my welcome gift. The bar was great and I really enjoyed the fire pit outside. Kaylee was awesome at check-in and was very helpful setting up my reservation. The parking is free, which is also a plus. Will be back when i’m in the area!!

It was very comfortable. We especially liked the large area to walk around and sit outside.

Not much parking except in the garage.
