The Bitterne Park Hotel

Staff were nice, however the room was dirty. It had not been cleaned. there was sock fluff in the lower bed and a pair of glasses down the side of the bed. Our room was out onto a flat roof and the sash windows were open as it was hot. We put our things in and had to go straight to a funeral. When we came back a man was standing on the roof outside our windows smoking. This happened several times! Also there is a bar below, which states it closes at midnight. So we didnt think this was a problem, especially as it said the room was sound proofed. We was not told that it was going on till 3.30am and it would sound like we was trying to sleep on the dance floor!

Room was disaster. The room was dirty, smelled of urine, the ceiling was cracked and moldy.

Friendly reception and very easy check-in. Very comfortable bed, large room and clean, modern bathroom with plenty of hot water. While very little on-site parking, easy street parking right outside the premises.

No soap/shampoo dispenser fitted in the shower, so had to take in and hold the dispenser bottle from the hand basin. On a hot Friday night with windows open there was a lot of noise from customers leaving the pub below late in the evening

Terrible beds, dirty carpets, walls, bedding with stains. Everything old and smells horrible. Very noisy road nearby so no sleep at night

I liked the bar attached The garden space and pizza place

Sadly they had a disco on the Friday night. It was very noisy from our bedroom. We would not have booked it they had said late night disco we were expecting place to close at 11. I am triggered by noise so wasn’t good. Staff were excellent

The rooms we booked were large and had plenty of space, each room had a small TV and Essentials needed for a morning brew.

The hotel itself wasn't the problem, the venue downstairs/underneath had music blaring so loud our beds shook and we got nothing but rude responses each time we spoke with them. Again, separate to the hotel but it really ruined the stay and kept the children up.

Location great. Found very easily. Lovely garden for the dogs.
