Masoods Lodge

Relaxing cabin for us, 2 adults, one teen and a 6 yr old. We enjoyed the view of the creek, and seeing the redwoods outside. As others have mentioned, it is rustic…not luxury, and that is what we were looking for. Full kitchen, but we only used microwave to heat food. Queen bed was comfortable, though pillows were thin. I’d recommend bringing your own, as well as towels if you like your own fluffy thick ones. The first night we arrived (Fri) property wasn’t full, and we parked easily. It became full by Sat evening, and we had to be extra careful maneuvering in/out of our spot. Sewer line smell happened for about 45 min Sun morning, but went away. I figure it’s part of having cabins/RVs in a semi-rural area. Masood is very friendly, easy to checkin and checkout. Will come back.

Always a nice place to stay

The property was beautiful. I had originally booked a different room and we ended up with a small trailer which appeared OK except when we went to use the bathroom and there was a very strong urine smell.

To finish up, the urine smell was followed by a strong septic smell when we went to bed that permeated the room. I tried to contact the owner after we left to let him know and his email would not be accepted so I'm following up with this rating.

Masood is awesome. Very kind and hospitable. The location was perfect. I was right on the water, located directly in the forest. It was like being in a treehouse (almost). Even though I came prepared, it had everything I needed. Very flexible and relaxed atmosphere, especially with children and pets. All the other visitors were respectful as well. I will definitely go back.

It was bloody hot. I wasn’t sure how to work the AC, but I didn’t ask either, so that was my fault. There was two fans and that worked out fine while we were sleeping.

Masood's Lodge is far from a lodge. More like a motel, it offered little comfort. The constant barking from a nearby dog made sleep impossible. The overall atmosphere was far from relaxing. While it might serve as a basic stopover, it's definitely not a holiday destination. We were eager to leave even though we paid and could not get a refund, and find a more suitable accommodation.

the location is beautiful

the junior suit is not 1800 sq feet and its attached to the office so you don't feel like you have full privacy and you hear everything including there tv and conversations when people are checking in. it was still nice just wasn't what we expected for the cost. and there was some storage room in the unit. Keep your shoes on when walking around in the house, my feet got very dirty from the floors .

I stayed 7 different places all over california this trip and this was by far the best. Can wait to come back. Amazing Surroundings and hospitality

We had a great time. The cottage was clean and cozy. We had a great view of the creek from our patio. The staff was friendly and helpful.
