The hotel remains to have many of the original features and the grand central staircase. Perfectly located within the town centre with ample off-road parking. Staff were present at time of arrival and very helpful and accommodating. Some reviews outline that the hotel doesn’t function in a conventional way and that it’s quite empty. I can understand those views as (I think) we were the only paying guests there. HOWEVER, that suited us perfectly. We had the place almost entirely to ourselves which meant it was lovely and quiet in the evenings so the kids got some good sleep. Despite me having a nose around the staircase after dark, I didn’t find or experience anything spooky. The apartment was spacious, clean and provided everything needed for a our short break. Also, the bedrooms were upstairs, which was great when the kids went to bed as we could still watch a bit of evening TV. I would say that decor and furnishings are basic and not up to that found in luxury hotels or boutique B&B’s. HOWEVER, the cost to stay was less than half of what all other hotels, B&B’s, holiday let’s, were charging for the equivalent space at the time of looking. Therefore, relative to the cost, the amenities, building, location and overall stay was exceptional and highly recommended. I would definitely stay again.

WeL asked with the value for money for the apartment which could comfortably sleep six people with two good size bedrooms upstairs, a good size, bathroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. The kitchen was a good size and had everything you needed and was well stocked with plates cups and glasses and you could quite easily stay there for a longer period of time and just a weekend . Also Mel, who was working there was really friendly and helpful and we highly recommend the Knighton hotel. It had everything we needed and a handy fire escape leading to the back door and a little balcony where you can sit out when the weather is good with lovely views of the hills all around so we will definitely be staying there again in the future .

They make you fill a ton of forms before you get in. You would think you are trying to buy the place. The pans in the kitchen look so unappealing, i couldn’t dare use them for cooking my food. On the plus side , the appartement is clean and the bed is confortable.
