Tudor Cottage Hayle - Great for Families and Dogs

Good value for money, enough space for 6 people, reasonably close to Carbis.

Not every bed is comfortable, mouldy smell and no place to hang towels. The oven needs repairing.

Patio slabs dangerous and uneven more the park issue than owner

Place stank of dog... It was overwhelming. Whilst it's dog-friendly, that shouldn't be an excuse to have the place reeking of dog. There were many light bulbs either not working or not present. Much of the interior of the house felt very budget-minded. At the price point offered, this wasn't by any means offensive, however better quality beds and linen would've been appreciated. Overall, an average property at a good price.

We loved the park and have actually booked directly with John Fowler to come again next year. The staff on site were amazing and although slightly dated the facilities served their purpose.

When we arrived we realised the price of the holiday didn't include park passes so had to pay extra for those. When we enquired at reception about rebooking for next year we found that if we had booked direct we would have paid £300 less and park passes would have been included. The security in the property was poor and you couldn't deadlock the house from inside. This resulted in our dog escaping which totally ruined two days of our holiday.

Spacious and clean apartment with everything we needed. Great location for the sightseeing we had planned.

The owners have thought of everything, all the little touches and things that you need for a comfortable family stay. We couldn't believe how well equipped the place was! They left a great guide for the property and also recommendations and tips on places to go/things to see/do. There were plenty of towels left for us for our week long stay, and the linens were fresh. The owners had provided all the basics eg shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet roll etc. Fresh Cornish milk as well so you could turn up and stick the kettle on ready for that long journey cuppa need! (which was absolutely spotless by the way - I heavily judge places who don't keep the kettle clean - especially glass ones! But it was perfect) The cottage was spacious and the layout was perfect. There was so much space (we were a group of 4 adults, 1 pre teen and a large and medium dog) - could easily have fit another 2 guests. The pool on the park, although not massive, was nice and clean and it was great that they ran this on a sessions ratio basis as it wasn't over crowded. They provided things to use in the pool (pool noodles, water games etc) We will definitely be checking out the hosts properties and rebooking as the stay was exactly what we needed and the hosts were great!

To be honest, the only thing that was a bit "bleh" was the turning into the park (this is in no way under the control of the owner of the cottage), the park owners - in my opinion really need to invest in mirrors, the view to pull out of the park was quite obstructed. But I wouldn't let this stop you going here as it was a lovely park and very clean and well kept (they can't help the dodgy Cornish road turnings)
