Nômade Temple Holbox

Nomade lives up to the hype, it really does. It sits on the quiet western tip of the island, pretty far from the main city, which gives it a feeling of seclusion you rarely find these days. The design is the star, boho meets mediterranean meets mexican, all natural textures and warm lighting. The beach is honestly one of the best we’ve been to, daybeds right in the sand and a pool steps from the ocean. Sunsets from the property were amazing. Rooms are beautiful and very private, staff are warm and relaxed, always happy to help with bookings or tours without being pushy. Breakfast is straight forward but very good, and the restaurant was great. A highlight of our trip for sure.

O quarto é bastante confortável, convidativo ao descanso. Comida excelente, drinks ótimos, sensação de paz em todos os ambientes do hotel. Sentimos bastante segurança nesta hospedagem.

O atendimento dos garçons e garçonetes deixou a desejar, não sentimos tão solícitos no atendimento. O café da manhã poderia ser melhorado, sem dúvidas.

Incredible experience at the Nomade for a girls' getaway. It feels like you are living in your very own tropical jungle. The daily included breakfast at La Popular was a huge highlight - served till 1130 for us late sleepers, and we tried something new every day. Francisco was our server, and he remembered all of our names daily without prompting! The staff there was amazing and always willing to go above and beyond to help in all areas. I had a moon temple tent, and it was beautiful, rustic (outdoor bathroom, occasional dead mice), but still felt safe and protected. However, it was very dimly lit at night, so a flashlight was very useful! The solititude was perfect - all I heard were birds chirping, and the sound of the ocean lulled me to sleep every night. Unfortunately, mosquitoes did get inside, and my last few days I was being eaten alive inside my room. I kept the door closed at all times, and they do have screens, but I wonder if the housekeeping left the bathroom door open while cleaning? Just a thought. My friend had a treehouse, and I'd probably go for one of those next time just to be high up and avoid the mosquitoes. We tried many of the classes, which were fantastic. I never got to do the beach Yoga because it was too early, but I tried Pilates, breathwork and Gratitude for the ocean, I loved all of them. One issue- pools are not heated, which was a real downer, especially for the Aqua Magica class which is supposed to mimic the womb. If they could heat at least one of the two pools and even make one of them HOT it would be the cherry on top of a magical place worth every penny.

This is not a luxury experience although it is pretty. Not enough towels, Luke warm shower water, loud ATVs on the island, freezing cold pools.
