Donibanea

This is a beautiful, small boutique hotel right on the water. I'd travel just to stay here. The building is old but the rooms are newly restored and very nice and comfortable. The rooms we stayed in had either full balconies or juliet balconies, facing west over the river. You can swim in the river just a few steps from the hotel. And it's right on the Camino del Norte, just after a long and steep descent. It was wonderful after a long day of walking to turn up to the hotel, change into swimming shorts, and jump in the cold water!

The location and the view were unbeatable. If you’re doing the Camino del Norte this is right at the bottom of the last hill, right before the ferry across, absolutely top notch place to rest. It’s not cheap but it’s not expensive at all for the quality. We wished we could stay longer. You can also swim in the ria which is lovely after a hot hiking day. Finally, booking.com screwed up our booking details (wrong number of guests per room) but the property took care of it. Lovely attention from the staff.

We’re a bit out of season so many of the restaurants nearby weren’t open yet. We were still able to find decent dinner at walking distance.

Nous sommes arrivés depuis Hontarribia en randonnée. L’emplacement de l’hotel est idéal, la chambre spacieuse, il y a un frigo et une bouilloire. L’hotel est très beau, deco compenporaine, tout semble neuf. Nous avoons une belle vue sur le port.

J’ai eu l’impression d’entendre les moteurs de bateaux toutes la nuit.

L'accueil, le propreté sont parfaits. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et très bon. L'emplacement est top pour se balader dans Pasaia. Ne pas charger les valises car l'accès à l'hôtel se fait uniquement à pieds ! Je recommande, simple et efficace !
