Monti Hotel

Hotel was very clean and in a commercial/industrial area. Room was compact and good use of space. Affordable for the area. Parking on the street.

The picture doesn't do this hotel justice. It looks a little spooky but its nicer than it looks online. If you're looking for a short, affordable overnight stay near Fordham University this hotel might fit the bill. I'm from Boston, MA so not really familiar with area. It's clean, quiet, safe, and bare minimum needed if you need a place to sleep and shower. The manager was very nice. Street parking only but its a mostly residential area so again, safe. It was a lovely surprise and I would stay here again.

We had trouble checking into our previous hotel so we made a booking with the Monti Hotel late night and they were able to accommodate us. The check in process was fast but note they take a $60 cash deposit which they return upon check out. The rooms are EXTREMELY small. Big enough to fit the queen sized bed, but only big enough to enter the bed on one side. The other side is so close to the window and ac unit that it is almost impossible to get through. There were plentiful sockets (we had at least 7 sockets) to charge every device possible. Small fridge in room, microwave is in the lobby and made available to everyone. Walls are paper thin, especially on the first floor. We heard people ALL hours of the night and day, a lady arguing with front desk, people yelling in the halls and talking at 2/3am. Hotel is over an hour away by subway and bus to the city. Comforters, sheets, towels, and pillow cases were stained with all kinds of stuff. Shower temperature was great, but the shower itself was dirty. Overall it did it’s job for the 2 nights we were there, but would not book again. Price per night is pretty excessive for this hotel considering size of room, location, and quality of room.

Middle of the night the fire alarm goes off There’s lots of noise around the room!! Overall I did not like my stay there for two days!!!!
