Seto Ghar Hotel

The hotel is just excellent. The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated. Food and drinks are great, so is the restaurant's patio. The stuff are so kind, helpful and well mannered. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations and would definitely recommend it!

I enjoyed another stay at Seto Ghar. This wonderful hotel is in the center of Thamel area of Kathmandu. It is adjoining the Nepali Ghar Hotel and shares many facilities with it. The restaurant offers a great breakfast buffet and Nepali, Indian, Thai and Western items on the menu. Great pleasant staff. There is a small bar with craft beer. You can use the meditation room and there are yoga and meditation classes and visiting teacher. There is also a fitness room.

This hotel is a work of art. From the check in experience, to the dining facilities, the hallways, all decorated as an homage to Newari art and craftsmanship. The dishes I had were beautifully crafted. The rooms were tasteful and efficient. Best of all was the staff, who made me feel so supported. What a wonderful experience for a woman traveling in Kathmandu solo. I will definitely stay there again.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Thamel, a tourist area of Kathmandu. My stay was very nice and comfortable. The ambience of the inner yard is fantastic. My colonial-style room was bright, clean, and spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. What I enjoyed the most were the free morning yoga classes with a great Nepali teacher. Breakfast offered quite a variety of good options, though the pastries could be better. However, I noticed that the lack of good bakeries is quite common in Nepal. A few disappointments: early morning garbage sorting on the street nearby and sometimes some noise from outside. Overall, it is worth staying here. The hotel offers an excellent combination of price and quality, with a cozy, homey atmosphere.

This hotel is adjacent to the NepaliGhar Hotel and is under the same management, shares the same facilities and staff but has a completely different style and architecture. Although it is located in the bustling Thamel district, it is a haven of peace. It has an outside court with a bar while the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The hotel has a fitness room and meditation facilities. I noticed they also have meeting facilities although I did not use those. For breakfast, they serve homemade bread and also pastries are made in their own bakery. It is certainly a place where I would return if I had to be in Kathmandu

Completely renovated hotel, stylisch and very comfortable. I've stayed in various properties in Kathmandu and this one is the best so far and in Thamel! A rarity!
