There was a lot of noises in the evening and there was no elevator.

The noise. There are multiple bars just across from the facilities that are open late nights on the weekend. Not only this though, the walls are paper thin so you can hear EVERYONE else in the building. The crazy winding staircase is also wood so you constantly hear very loud clunking as people go up and down. We were kept awake (and woken up) by loud music and one day we were even woken up at 8am by a drill and other construction being done to the apartment sharing the wall of our bedframe. As well, the entire exterior wall is all windows and while there are large drapes to block out the light and for privacy, there were 4 large windows and only 3 drapes. So we had to hid ourselves coming out of the shower in our towels and light streamed into the room in the early morning and all day. Finally, for us it was not a big deal as we live in Paris and are use to lots of stairs, but were up 4 flights of winding stairs without any warning beforehand. Had we had big suitcases or any kind of injury/elderly situation, it would have been good to inform the renters beforehand.
