"Quiet area ..thin walls"

6.0

I couldn't believe the tiny room I paid for when I entered the room which had no window and a child's bed.. how can any hotel take so much money per room per night for such small room with dirty stained carpets and then put such tiny bed for an adult!? I went to 2 other countries after here and paid much less in 2 other hotels and got king size bed .. free water and free breakfast and fridge in the room.. The bathroom was tiny .. clean yes ..but the tiniest face sink I have ever seen.. No over head light in the room but a leaning lamp in the corner. The location of this hotel is great close to every thing...but what annoyed me most was the noise from the stairs and from.other room you can hear people brushing their teeth and smell what perfume they used. The hotel has no elevator so be prepared to carry you 50 pound bags up and down stairs with no lights at all over the stairways . I will definitely not recommend or stay again. I must mention the staff at the hotel were helpful and pleasant.

"In my heart 💜 of Jerusalem!!!"

8.0

Visited early May this year, for the start of Giro d’Italia grande partenzZa that took place in Jerusalem for 2 days, I arrived earlier check in without any problems, with the lady from the reception just stunning with everything she did for me helping first of all to recover my hand baggage forgotten 10 minutes before in Sherry taxi,,she immediately called at their office that is right crossroad to hotel where we went together & also made appointment for me for Saturday early morning going back home. After she provided to me all useful advices about Jerusalem on map that helped me to cover a lot in just 2 days! Also discount for late breakfast just downstairs from hotel it was delicious & best price !!! Not forget about Max the other person from the front desk that great too. Coming back in Jerusalem,La perle again?Yes Sir!

"Amazing value for money"

8.0

The only downside in this hotel is that is no elevator, and of course we had a room on the third floor ;-) But the staff is so friendly and helpful, they helped us with a smile with our luggage, twice!! The room was very clean and quite spacious, we even had a small balcony. The location is perfect, close to the old city, restaurants, shops,... Really I would recommend this to everyone, a very honest price for what you get! If I can just give 1 small advice, maybe you can hang a bigger sign outside? We passed the hotel 4 times before we found the door ;-)

"Excellent location, pleasant and helpful stuff"

6.0

The hotel is placed on very good location and the stuff is very helpful and pleasant. Good value for the money. Room was clean, and it was maintained clean daily. I stayed in a single bedroom, which has one disadvantage - no fresh air. The rooms window looks at the hotel stairways (located inside the hotel). This was fine for two night, but for longer stay it could be a problem. The room has air-condition so the heat is not a problem. There is no lift (elevator), which could be a problem with heavy luggage, and the stairway is bit steep.

"Nice hotel but not for every traveler."

8.0

First, remember that there is no 24 h desk! The staff is leaving at 18:00 and comes back at 08:30 am. Of course, you have some phone no. for emergency case. Second, there are 3 floors, and no elevator. However, the overall value for money was good. The place is quiet and clean. Very well located. There is good Wi-Fi, and at the entrance you will find a shared kitchen, with tea\coffee, microwave and refrigerator.

"Good location"

6.0

The room was ok, big enough. Staff friendly and helpful and location is good. It's quite expensive for what u get but everything is very expensive in Jerusalem. There is no staff on saturdays , and Friday everything closes , also Saturday. Anyways it's good option if you just want a place to crash at night.

"At the center but needs improvment"

6.0

The best with this hotel is its central location. The hotel is small, 3 rooms per floor. The staff is very friendly and helpful; the room including the bathroom is clean and nicely renovated. It has a nice balcony to the pedestrian only street. Still there are some drawbacks; there is no fridge and no kettle in the room. No elevator and steps are without handrail, so for drinking a cup of coffee in the morning you need to be dressed and enough vigilant to get to the downstairs tiny lobby, make the coffee and climb back the stairs with the full cup. The balcony is connected to the adjacent room so be aware. No intercom and the size of the bathroom/restroom is minimal. Another think that annoyed me is the lack of additional electric outlet near the headboard, so you cannot put your cellphone to charge just before sleeping. Another major problem is expensive parking 17-20 IS/hour or 50 IS/ day. There is also a crowded municipal parking (5.5 IS/hour) but it is limited to 2 hours between 8:00 and 19:00 in a weekday and free on Saturday. It is about half a kilometer from the hotel. Taken together the location and the above benefits may balance the drawbacks.

"Disappointed "

4.0

The pictures and description when I booked this hotel did not describe exactly how this hotel functions. Pros: Location was the best part of this stay Cons: 1. No elevators, only stairs ! 2. I stayed on the first floor and though wifi is included, the signal was EXTREMELY low less than 1 bar. So it was even faster for me to use my mobile network data instead. So honestly they don't have wifi unless they fix the strength of it 3. The bed made a lot of noise when I moved 4. On the 2nd night, the fire alarm went on for 15 minutes until they turned it off. This scared the hell out of me in the middle of the night. This might just be a one off situation. Overall, not sure if I would pick this hotel again, even when I'm traveling alone.

"Hidden Affordable Gem in Center City"

8.0

If you want to be in the center of Jerusalem and not pay hundreds of dollars, and if you simply want a clean place to lay your head, and if you don't mind a tiny, but clean room & bathroom, this is a great find. The rooms are minute, the bathrooms are also, but the place is clean and all you need if you are going to be out all day. There is tv, heat, toilet paper with hearts on it (!), soap, nice towels, and even some balconies. It's right in the center of everything. The street is a walking street, so you have to park about a block away, but there is a parking lot right there that costs virtually a few dollars for parking all day and night, and it never seems to be full. I can't think of a better, cheaper find for location. The desk people are lovely; we were arriving well after they were gone, so they gave us the keypad entry code by text, then left our key on the desk for us. As we were there on Friday night and Saturday, a day the Jewish people don't work, we never saw anyone at the desk, we were just on our own and it felt great to be trusted as grownups. You can make coffee and tea in the lobby if you like.

"small room good location helpful staff"

8.0

Room is very small as is bathroom. Small balcony. Microwave, fridge, downstairs. Location near Ben Yahuda not far from light rail on King George. Bakery next door and a couple of restaurants which are open on shabbat on Hillel. Note staffed only during day and no reception from 430 on Friday to Sunday am. I was a bit concerned with that and note no cleaning on shabbat either. I would recommend it but if you can get a place with breakfast it might be a better idea, Note wifi in room secured but does drop off a bit if you have a problem there is an open network in the lobby
