Location was very near the people we were visiting, so certainly perfect for our purposes, but not necessarily perfect for everyone.

Very stingy with supplies... soap, shampoo, and bathroom tissue. Main bathroom's soap dispenser was nearly empty. One tiny round bar of soap for four days. No paper towels supplied in the kitchen. Had to purchase additional supplies -- not a major expense in terms of money, but costly in a different sense: it used up precious vacation time shopping for things that already should be supplied and therefore diminished the value of the accomodations. In addition, the shower stall is very small and has no place to put soap, shampoo, etc. The shower faucet spews water in multiple directions, sapping already insufficient water pressure. In short, I found lacking the type of small, thoughtful conveniences that do so much to encourage repeat bookings.

The agency staff were very helpful and did what they could to improve things, but all to no avail. The situation of the apartment was good and the views from it were excellent overlooking Ortigia and the bay. The apartment was very roomy.

There was an intermittent foul smell from the bathroom and utility room that sometimes pervaded the whole apartment. The agents/owner arranged for a plumber, but there was no successful resolution to the problem. Neither the owner or booking.com would compensate us because the first time the plumber inspected there was no smell. However, it was something we experienced every day, it was worse early morning (enough to wake us up) and late evening. The only solution was to open windows and our stay was at the end of January. There was also peeling wallpaper in the hallway and crumbling paster in the lounge, the whole place was a little dingy and in need of a face lift. Parking could be tricky, sometimes having to park some distance from the apartment, but it was free. On the whole it was a disappointing stay for us, mainly because of the smells, however even without the odour we would say it was very poor value for money.

Very roomy flat. Great views of the city, air conditioning in all rooms. Very close to supermarket and shops.
