Nice clean hostel in a center of Margao. Helpful nice personnel. Clean bedsheets, comfortable beds. Good place to stay

Close to railway station, although I still caught a taxi as it was after 11 pm and I did not feel comfortable walking through the dark streets on my own. Staff were decent. It is very cheap.

Female dorm was appalling. One bunk bed, two old single beds and a mattress on the floor. Old beat up cupboards as lockers. Was told by one of the occupants that they'd had money stolen from the room. Needless to say there is no security on the room; no way to lock door. People would leave it open. There are two shared bathrooms for the hostel. Neither were clean when I used them and were damp and humid. The tap faucet was loose. I went to sleep around midnight but was woken at 2am but other young Indian women returning. They talked at full volume with zero regard for people sleeping. Same in the morning when they woke up. There were two in 2 bed so I suspect one was a guest who hadn't paid. Didn't venture into common areas - kitchen has a overflowing bin and young Indian men were just hanging around when I checked in close to midnight. I did not feel very safe here and left early the next morning. I do not recommend unless you are comfortable with a complete dive. This is one of the worst hostels I have EVER stayed in.
