Beautiful 3 bed caravan SouthviewPark Skegness

Lovely caravan and location on site were perfect, right next to a lovely duck pond. Caravan was comfortable and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again. Also, distance into Skegness was just a short car journey

The site its self appeared ok and the location of the caravan itself. The owner was quick to answer and also did send an apology. He sent the damage deposit back straight after I provided him the photos however I probably should have asked for a full refund as we could not stay here and ended up booking somewhere else.

-The smell as we walked in was a horrible wet dog smell. I understand that it is a pet friendly caravan but it was not nice at all. We sat with the doors open for about an hour trying to air it out. -There are stains on the mattress and protectors in the main bedroom. There were human hairs on the bed. -The pull out sofa bed in the room is covered in dog hairs and the actual seat of the sofa is broken. -The top of the sideboard/ drawers below the window is peeling away. -There are bits peeling/ broken off from the kitchen cabinets and bedroom cabinets. -The pans have seen better days. -Stains on the roof, muck on walls. It really felt as if there hadn’t been much effort in cleaning or maintaining the caravan at all. Fortunately we managed to book another caravan for one night but meaning more cost.

There was a stench of damp and mold around the caravan. And there was those plastic dehumidifiers scattered around to try and absorb any humidity. The vacuum cleaner was full and when I used it the room stunk of dust. There was dust and cobwebs on the fire extinguisher and the whole place needed a spring clean. The owner really needs to work out where the water is getting in and get rid of the mold smell. The foil on the furniture was peeling away in the living room, kitchen and bedrooms, which was very unsightly.
