Dawn Ranch

Our team had a truly memorable offsite at Dawn Ranch (Monday - Tuesday). From start to finish, the property provided the perfect balance of comfort, beauty, and connection. The setting was stunning, the cocktails and dinner were amazing, and the overall atmosphere made it easy for our group to come together in a meaningful way. The location was also ideal, just the perfect distance from San Francisco to feel like a true getaway without the burden of extensive travel. Access to both the river and town cannot be beaten, which made the experience even more special. It was overwhelmingly the favorite destination of our offsites over the last five years, and we will for sure be back. Dawn Ranch provided the ideal backdrop for both relaxation and productivity, and we are so grateful for the hospitality that made our time there special.

Dawn Ranch exceeded our expectations. The grounds, amenities and glamping were all very clean and well maintained. The tents are spacious, with essential amenities (mini fridge, makeup mirror, extremely comfortable bed, etc.). The bathrooms/showers were always well kept and stocked. The staff were all wonderful but Jason at the front desk is an absolute gem - personable, professional, and genuinely kind. I travel extensively, and while a property itself can be beautiful, it’s the people like Jason who truly make the experience unforgettable.

Very rude service. They were turning gusts away from the hotel restaurant, stated they were booked months out. Were told they could make a to go cocktail.

FAB FAB FAB experience. I'm Deaf, they communicated through text 100%. So accessible. Comfortable beds. They even disposed of my broken (large) suitcase for me.

We celebrated out anniversary ( 33rd) with the All That fine dining experience curated by chefs Juliana Thorpe and Ignacio Zuzulich from Brazil and Argentina respectively. It was delightfully experience. The staff had signed the menu with good wishes. The courses were exceptional and presented professionally , yet with a personal flair . We were treated to two extra items to make us feel special . The price , though steep , was moderate compared to other fine dining restaurants in the area. We will definitely go there again and highly recommend the this restaurant , which is part of a lodge, nestled in the redwoods of the town of Guerneville.

Would not recommend. Front desk staff were rude and unwelcoming, which left a lasting negative impression on our stay. Aside from that, the property is beautiful and the on-site restaurant is excellent.

Beware if you’re traveling with a dog. You will most likely be relegated to a small cabin on the busy road or to one across the street from the main property—more like a motor lodge than like the beautifully decorated cabins in a wooded resort shown in the online photos.

First time at Dawn Ranch to attend a wedding. A glorious spot. The bungalows were charming, the lodge and grounds were beautiful, the service was outstanding, the food was delicious. Here is one caveat: the grounds are on both sides of a busy road. We were staying across the street from the main campus which meant dashing really fast in nice clothes and shoes. It was okay in the light but in the dark it felt dangerous. If Dawn Ranch could figure out how to solve that problem, this place would be even better.

If I could give Dawn Ranch a 10, I would. Every part of the resort has been tastefully decorated. The spa, river kayaking, art, redwood forest hike and yoga were awesome. We will be back.

The restaurant. Top notch.

For the price of the hotel, I’d expect perfection. The two bedroom cabin (216) was oddly set up w a vanity almost blocking the door, walking into a bed and awkward sitting space. I went into 215 and that room didn’t have the same issues. The chairs on the patio were broken, the electrical line hanging so low that my child was able to grab it. The toilet was leaking. This isn’t what I would expect from a hotel of this esteem. Also, it sucked having the best part of the hotel separated by the highway. With two little kids, it was nerve wracking to cross every time we wanted to go over.
