Possum Lodge

this is a great option if you are planning to be out most of the day and just need somewhere to sleep. it’s a great gateway to the fjords and also amazing for the price. theres a fireplace outside which is quite nice in the winter or just when it’s cold. the showers and toilets at the lodge are quite clean and convenient. the shared kitchen is well equipped (can be seen in pictures). our tea and tuna got stolen from the cupboard (???) but we did leave it there without labelling so that’s kinda on us (it is requested that everything you leave there is labelled with your name). there’s also a nice cafe right nearby which serves good food and has friendly staff. overall we were very happy with our place!!

it was a bit cold when we checked in and arrived in the room (we were here in june) but this is understandable because you can’t leave the heater on unattended. it did get warm quite fast once we turned everything on (heater + electric blankets) and it was comfortable.

I stayed in one of the larger cabins and loved it. Had everything I needed and a short trip up the street to the cafe and restaurant. The view/walk to the lake takes only a minute and was quiet and beautiful. It rained one of the days I was there and most of the guests hung out in the lounge. Met some amazing travelers and played a fun game of monopoly. The staff were super friendly and kind.

Super nice spot, lots of spaces to socialize and hang out in. Right next to the lake, definitely coming here again!

Quirky campsite with a few self contained rooms. Gorgeous location 2 min walk to the lake. Warm rooms even when outside it was quite cold. The games area was cool, with boardgame and even a table tennis table.

Kitchen a bit small, not many showers for the size of the campsite, although I never had to wait. Sandflies were everywhere outside, altho the window nets prevented them well from coming in.
