All was good

It's fine. Good location, pretty consistently cheaper than most other places, the new pod beds are a vast improvement on the previous bunks.

Almost no windows anywhere, and common space and kitchen are pretty average. A lot of the rooms get very hot, even on mild days, and only a few have AC or ventilation. Only one sink and cooker, few pots and pans, but a reasonable amount of fridge space.

Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer, welches preiswert war, verglichen mit anderen Unterkünften in Melbourne. Es war relativ ruhig. Die Bäder waren sehr angenehm, da sie nicht wie in anderen hostels, sehr privat waren.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr anonym, nicht wirklich sozial, daher ist es zwar ruhig, aber neue Leute kennenlernen ist nicht wirklich möglich.

The place was in a great location as it was a walkable distance from the beach and you had the trams outside to take you into the city centre. The place was clean and there were private bathrooms for females, which made me feel a lot more comfortable.

If you wanted to go on a night out you would have to pay for a taxi as the trams stop at around midnight and don’t begin again till five and because of the location there wasn’t many nightclubs open near the hostel. I don’t believe this is the hostel’s fault but the people staying there were quite nosy and some were drunk making me feel slightly uncomfortable to walk around the place.
