Excellent location and value for money.. The cleanliness was second to none and our host Clare was lovely and readily available if we needed anything.

What a find! We were looking for somewhere to base ourselves for a few days in Northumberland and came across Kindly Light Cottage. The property was very clean, well decorated and well equipped - with milk in the fridge ready for us and a hamper of local products. Our host was friendly and knowledgeable and dropped by to check we were OK. The property is deceptively large with a front room with a log burner, dining room and galley kitchen. Upstairs three bedrooms and a bathroom with a great shower. Parking was a bit of an adventure - you definitely cannot park a large car outside the property - and if you drive down to it you may be reversing back, but there was plenty of parking no more than 50 meters away.

The hosts provided a beautiful, clean and comfortable house complete with a welcome pack and logs for the fire. We could not have asked for anything more.

Home from home holiday house with a warm and welcoming feeling. Super house, all rooms very inviting, the beds are comfy and cosy. The location was in a quiet street which is perfect for a quiet family getaway. Little extras like milk in the fridge make the difference when you just want to get the kettle on once you arrive. A great house, super clean and very comfortable with an attentive host for any questions.

Nothing really but a few more cups/saucepans/pots for the kitchen but honestly it was a small issue.
