Kindly Light Cottage

A beautiful, spacious cottage that has everything..lots of little extras. lovely toiletries and a superb welcome hamper... and in a very friendly street. Nice size bedrooms with super comfy beds. Lovely sheltered courtyard garden. Great to have space to park the car outside the door. A short walk to the High Street and Harbour, with a great selection of cafes and eateries.

Wonderful accommodation for our three night stay. Equipment and furnishings excellent. Lots of nice thoughtful touches in the property. Flowers in the lounge and dining room. Even buckets and spades at the back door for the children to use at the beach. Welcome hamper very useful with some tasty treats. Thank you to the owner for giving us early access to the property.

Very pleasant spacious accommodation (bit of a tardis in fact). Comfy furniture and beds and quality bed linen and towels. Kitchen is very well equipped and bathroom had everything we needed. Welcome pack was well received . Didn't expect to find milk in the fridge, as we had brought our own we didn't open it but appreciated the thought. Only sorry that our 26 mile walk challenge on Saturday meant we didn't get to take as much advantage of the facilities as we would have liked. Would definitely recommend.

Parking was a bit tricky but we were given fair warning and our driver managed very well. Had we had a bigger car I think we might have had a bit of difficulty finding a parking space on the street given our late afternoon arrival. The TV in the lounge kept dropping out but we weren't watching it much so no great problem but thought it worth mentioning.

Lovely clean & tastefully furnished home, with very comfortable beds. Clare was a wonderful host who popped round to make us welcome. Sunny courtyard a great bonus!

Coal & wood for the log burner are only supplied from September to April, but given British weather is unpredictable it would be nice if this was always included for the first night. We’d brought everything we needed with us, but had to go back out for wood & firelighters. Glad we did, as the 1st May was chilly & the log burner made the lounge so cosy.
