Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain

I stayed with my family for 5 nights on half board. The hotel is approx 1 hour from the airport by taxi but well worth the distance if you are looking for a super relaxed holiday. Uber and local taxi are a little difficult to arrange but can schedule in advance or use hotel cars for convenience. We were greeted with a warm welcome and all the staff were amazing at the hotel. Amazing location with beautiful beach and sunset views from the island linked to the resort. Food was great with soft drinks included in half board and a choice of 3 courses at the onsite restaurants. To name a few staff, Mokshita at dinner Obab Al Bahar, Youssef and Caleb at breakfast, Saidul at Due Marie, Blaze and Aisha at the spa were always attentive with a smile. A big thanks to all staff who make the whole experience even better and would highly recommend the hotel.

Excellent , family oriented , beautiful beaches and pool, far from the airport though , but overall a great luxurious experience.

We had a lovely stay at the Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain and would happily consider returning. The property is beautiful — peaceful and quiet even during half-term, which was a real bonus. The pools are excellent for young children: the main pool is a perfect 0.9 m depth, so it felt safe and ideal for families, with friendly lifeguards and a fun water slide. A special thank you to the manager, who was exceptionally helpful. When we were informed with only a day’s notice that the kids’ pool would be closed for maintenance, she stepped in and arranged for the work to be delayed so the children could still enjoy it — outstanding service that really stood out. However, two issues stopped this from being a five-star experience: 1. Kids Club – security and supervision concerns The kids club needs much better oversight. During one visit they took the kids to the cinema room, I went along with them and saw that the only children’s option available was Mr Bean. Staff explained that they “usually show action films” and hadn’t paid for more kids’ movies — which is clearly inappropriate in a family setting. We took our children out, but because we hadn’t formally signed them out, it also raised a serious security concern about how children are monitored and released. I raised other security concerns with the management too including witnessing the only staff member monitoring the kids almost locking herself outside twice. The standards here felt far below what we’ve experienced at other similar standard resorts and we wouldn’t be comfortable keeping our kids in the kids club. 2. Dinner at Due Mari – very disappointing Our dinner at Due Mari was chaotic: mains arrived before starters, kids’ dishes came out in random order, and one main was wrong. The manager unfairly blamed the waiter, but I had checked the order and it was entered correctly — suggesting a broader kitchen or service issue. It’s not unreasonable to expect a starter to be served ahead of a main in any setting, let alone at a Jumeirah, leaving us disappointed when trying to enjoy a final family meal together on holiday. Despite these points, we enjoyed our stay overall. The resort is beautiful, the pools are fantastic for children, and it’s a refreshing change from a typical GCC hotel resort that’s busy and hectic. With better kids club supervision and improved restaurant service, this property could easily deliver a true five-star experience.

The hotel is very far away with no nearby services. This is coupled with hotel restaurants that close earlier than stated. - The Lebanese restaurant (which closes at 12am) will try to send you away 1 hour before closing time, and if you happen to be already there, they will constantly reminde that they're about to close. - The Lounge which is supposed to close at 2am, had their doors shut all night because of a private event, that finished around 11.30pm, yet they refused entry and stated they're closed. - Being stuck far away from everything, you have no option but to end the night early. Complaining to the front desk, they wrote a report, and promised to make ammends by late check out. We had our check-out set at 3pm originally since check-in, so we called to request an additional 2 hours as promised. They offered that with an additional payment of BD100. When asked about the promise, they simply said they are at high occupancy and we can either pay or leave on time keeping in mind it was the last day of weekend and everyone is checking out, and having a paid option doesn't reflect high occupancy. - The beach doesn't have umbrellas on all chairs, and you have to race to get one, or catch a leaving party. - The beach service doesn't serve hot drinks, only iced. I ordered ice latte, it came without ice 😅 - The service button at beach/pool is merely decoration. You have to catch a waiter passing by. - The QR for beach menu is useless. Once you start asking for items from it, they will ask you to stick to paper menu options, which does have hot drinks which they dont serve 😅 - The beach service is very slow, around 1 hour for order to reach. - The spa only have one female therapist who is booked all day. She is also the pedicure specialist. - Food quality is average. - Buggy service is very fast when needed. - Cleanliness is 3/5 all around. - The most aggressive receptionist would be Omayma, who insisted that we don't get the promised late checkout, and insisted to come collect the late checkout fees from the room at 4.45pm, just 15 minutes before departure with no reason as to why this can wait until we come to front desk.

Our stay at Jumeirah was truly exceptional. The rooms were well maintained, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the service exceeded expectations. Location was very unique. The drive was worth it. The room felt spacious, refreshing, calming. Warm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. It felt heart warming to be smiled at all the time. Even the just walking by them, the greeting impacted our stay positively. Shoutout to the staff below who assisted us and briefly spoke to them that gave us memorable time. Alexa. Fakhr Al deen. Flour. Simon. Gaytari. Ahmed. Spa reception; blaze and Aysa Bathroom cleanliness was perfect and has a good smell. The area was quiet and not noisy. Beautiful amenities and snacks for welcoming.

Excellent stay once again! Flawless hospitality from every staff member in JGB. Check in- Mohammed and Alexandria were very friendly and very attentive to our needs. Talise Spa- we got a couples massage and this has been the best massage to date. Due-Mari- Excellent Italian food and we always love coming back. Pool- The pool staff are amazing . They work so hard and they are always ensuring that you have towels/water etc. Thank you and see you again soon! Iain & Mandy

I loved my stay here, everything was spectacular. However, room service is slow and it took them quite some time to bring anything we needed.
