Within walking distance of Avenida Chapultepec and a clean safe basic place to stay.

The location is great, and entering and exiting through a little coffee shop is ideal . . . for a quick cuppa on the go and an added level of security and familiarity. The quirky design of the building seems fun, but it's actually not practical.

Staff were usually hard to find, there was ZERO water pressure, noise on any of the interior 4 levels (including a "hidden" room) travels LOUDLY up and down the stairwell and easily into any rooms adjacent, and the kitchen LOOKED decent but could EASILY be more modern and efficient. In such an ideal location, taking care of even a few of these problems would make Casa Matia MUCH more desirable AND profitable !!!

Pleasant stay, pleasant people. Only wished the cafe kept regular hours and had more regular food (donuts were truly fine, though). The entrance needs to be better marked with a street number and a sign, as the door is non-descript side door.
