"If you’re looking for a quieter pool experience, especially in the evenings, you might not get it here. But for location"

9.0

We stayed at Honua Kai recently and loved the location, right on Kaanapali Beach, which is great for morning walks and sunsets. The beach access alone makes it a strong pick.

The pools were decent, plenty of space to swim or relax, but they don’t stay very calm even late in the evening. Kids were still running around unsupervised, and some parents seemed fine letting them snorkel or float around in ring floaties in the jacuzzi. A few were even jumping off the ledge of the “infinity” pool or what the property refers to as the main pool, which sends water splashing into people sitting in the nearby hot tub.

"Comfortable, spacious, and great beach/snorkeling if you don’t mind crowds."

8.0

The rooms are spacious. Kitchen is great. Parking was easy. Beds were comfy and AC was nice. The snorkeling at the beach on property was excellent!

Its crowded. There aren’t enough pool chairs so that gets competitive which is a hassle. Duke’s is the only restaurant and it is busy, hard to book for dinner and isn’t open late. Also, the traffic is horrible because of the Lahaina cleanup.
