Clean and fresh.

The beds didnt seem like true queen sized beds. They were on the small side. Uncomfortable for 2 adults.

After 12 hours on the road what a pleasure to arrive at Holiday Inn Xpress Des Moines! 8pm arrival, exhausted, Brian (the night attendant) was above and beyond helpful! Handled lost reservations, baggage, crying baby, directions and our no patience attitude. Thank you Brian! Great room, showers, thermostat, soaps, towels. Great breakfast, coffee, restaurant, service. Holiday Inn Express is on my radar for future vacations

The bed was great with both firm and soft pillows. The walk-in shower was nice and bright and clean. The windows had a blackout shade that actually worked and kept the light out! And staff was great!!

The TV did not work well
