"My partner and I needed a quiet week away and we got that and much more."

The facilities were exceptional, as was the cleanliness. The outdoor space was great for meals while listening to the birdsong and watching the swallows and house martins swooping overhead. The proximity to nearby sights was great; Bamburgh, Budle bay, Wooler and the Scottish Borders. Alnwick and Cragside House were just a short drive away, every time we came back we saw some different wildlife; Hares, Grouse, Deer, Pheasant and Hedgehogs.

If only the Goldfinch had paused a few seconds longer I would have had a photo.

"Cosy and comfortable "

Had a wonderful few days away. Cottage is clean, cosy, warm and very well equipped. The owners are great with communication and there if you need anything (we didnt) The bed is comfortable, we had no problems at all. Already planning a return visit.

Home from home - nice private parking. It had everything you needed even down to the dogs bowls.

It was great - electric shower wasn’t too powerful but that might be due to the water pressure in the area.

Lovely quiet rural location. The hosts were very helpful & friendly. The property was very clean, spacious & had everything we needed in it. We would happily visit again.
