A Bed of Roses

the room and bathroom very clean, we had everything we needed to spend beautiful night. The lady was so friendly and helpfull. The coffee and breakfast was beyound expectation. I will definately come back and recomend it to anyone.

Very cozy, felt like exactly the kind of alpine mountain home atmosphere we were looking for. Bed was super comfortable. Slept like a log. The stars were super clear from the balcony. Lisa was super friendly in the morning. I appreciated the key combination system - nice to not worry about a key card.

Only thing - the Vizio remote didn’t work (it had power but TV didn’t respond to commands). Worked it out by turning on from the TV itself and we spent very little time watching, so this is super minor.

Nice location and property, easy arrival (a code for the electronic lock on our room and specific directions for finding our room was sent via a message a few hours before our “check-in” time), other guests were friendly. Wonderful group breakfasts on both mornings prepared by Lisa - she is such a lovely person! Excellent wifi and immediate access to get to the message with the code for our room. As it says in the description of the Country Rose room, the room is small but cozy and private. If we return we’ll choose a larger room with views and hopefully a desk. It’s a beautiful drive to the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park - be sure to leave right after breakfast if you don’t want to wait a long time to get through the entrance gate. There’s a small parking lot for just four cars, so if you are bringing more than one car I suggest reaching out in advance for parking instructions for a second vehicle.

We stayed in the Country Rose room with an entrance off of the back porch. This private room would be better in warmer weather, especially for easy access to the BBQ, the gazebo, and the pool. With the late December cool weather the room was drafty - but there was a large “split” AC/heater unit in the room which worked well, and we used towels and throw blankets to block the cold air. So we stayed cozy!

Lisa is the caregiver for the guests and property. She is exceptional. She is warm and kind. The property has amazing views, is very clean. I stayed in a very romantic room with a jacuzzi bathtub with my husband for my birthday. Lisa served a delicious breakfast. I will be a multiple return guest. Perfect place to stop on your trip to Yosemite!
