Super location. Room was large and comfortable. All the drinks in the room fridge were complimentary, this was including the beer, sake and water. Very very nice touch.

The hotel offered a central location and fun traditional vibes.

The room itself was spacious and offered plenty of room, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, a few issues made our stay less comfortable than expected. Despite the blackout curtains, a significant amount of exterior light came through the windows, which made it difficult to sleep during our one-night stay. We also weren’t able to figure out how to turn on the air conditioning and could only get heat, which added to the discomfort. By morning, sunlight reflecting off the roof and windows caused the room to heat up very quickly—far warmer than it had been throughout the night. As a result, our sleep before a long plane ride home was restless and challenging. Given the cost of the room, we had hoped for a more comfortable and restful experience overall.

The ryokan is clean and the staff is nice. The big bath is comfortable and relaxing. The amenity is high quality.

It is a walking distance but a bit far from the train station. We ended up using the taxi.
