Nicola Rossio Hotel

Philipe and his colleagues were an absolute delight to deal with and made our honeymoon stay very special. Best service from the staff at the front desk and our room was amazing with a beautiful view of Rossio square. We loved it and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Lisbon.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Being our first visit, it is in a excellent location for exploring Lisbon, loved the rooms with an Art Deco Influence, bright clean comfortable rooms and lovely staff especially Bimala, Daniela and Joao, we will definitely be back!

Location was perfect! Hotel and restaurant staff was incredible. Breakfast buffet was tasty and offered good variety. Rooms had good soundproofing even ours that overlooked the square! They were clean and had coffee and mini fridge. Rossio square very flat and easy to walk all the way to river.

Rooms were small and did not accommodate large luggage. Hotel fronts a pedestrian street so Uber/taxi/tour pickup was a challenge

From what I've been able to understand, the location is convenient

If you want to feel like a valued guest and not just a source of income, this is not the hotel for you. After two nights out of the four that I booked, I got notified that my father had a heart attack and might not make it, so I had to fly back home urgently. I went to the front desk in tears asking to cancel the next two nights, but since my booking was non-refundable they refused to make an exception, even given these circumstances, stating over and over that that's the policy, as if a policy is a law of nature that a human can't change. Apparently there is no such thing as human discretion or human decency. But even if I put the refund issue aside, what truly broke me was the complete lack of empathy that the two guys showed me (I think one was even the manager). Not even a single "I'm sorry to hear that", just stone cold business. It really felt like I was talking to robots. Since they already got their money from me, I was nothing to them. I have never seen anyone be so insensitive in my life. I would expect a stranger on the street to be more empathetic than that, let alone someone that works in the hospitality business. When I checked-out in the middle of the night to catch the flight, not even a simple "I hope your dad makes it". Later when they had the nerve to send me an email asking for a review and I described how appalling this experience was, they replied they're sorry that "this was my perception of the interaction", which is total gaslighting, as if it's just my perception, and their staff did no wrong. Needless to say I will never go back there after this traumatic experience.
