"Overall very enjoyable and would recommend to others"

9.0

Very comfortable, excellent food and hospitality. Very helpful and sociable hosts.

Maybe a little more flexibility on dinner timings as it shortens activities in the day to get back in time, especially during longer summer daylight hours.

"Many thanks to hosts as they tick all the boxes for a comfortable stay."

Beautiful location. A newly built house with up to date amenities and vey clean. Food was top notch and freshly prepared by Chris (an excellent chef).

We had an extremely comfortable and well fed stay.

"Excellent Guest House stay"

10.0

Beautifully appointed rooms, both the shared lounge and dining area and the bedrooms. Huge super king bed, really comfy. All the small details were thought of, all very luxurious and the best “guest house” we’ve ever stayed in .. more like a 5 star hotel! Carla and Chris are super hosts, and Chris’s cooking is out of this world so make sure you eat evening meal there xxxx

Prices for food and drink are quoted as “plus vat” which in the UK is a rather odd thing to do as nearly everything consumers pay for in the UK are normally quoted inclusive of vat as standard. This means a glass of wine at £9 is really costing you £11.80 and a 3 course dinner at £37.50 is actually going to cost you £45 each. This could be misleading to some guests who are working to a budget. It’s an unnecessary practice to quote “+vat” in the UK and I think they should stop doing it - please just show the price the guest will pay is what they see, rather than the guest having to add another 20% on. HOWEVER this is a minor irritation and should not detract from the lovely stay we had and the fab food, and superb facilities xxxx

"lovely!"

9.0

Food was amazing; hosts were attentive; rooms were clean as a whistle and comfortable beds. Absolutely lovely place to stay, and we loved the homely feel, the lounge area to relax in the evening and the coffee and honesty bar on tap. They've had a vision for this place, from years of experience elsewhere, and they're executing it very well.

There are a lot of rules, all of them for good reason, and all cheerfully delivered - but a lot of rules nonetheless! They work a system, and that system works, but you need to be willing to work within it - strict times for meals, check in check out times, strict house rules etc. But as I said, they make it work, so don't be put off!

"Quality place to stay for room and food"

Nice welcome, very flexible food and drink service

Bit frustrating completing a long on-line check in form when a lot of info had already been provided via Booking.com

"Exclusive experience for Hebrides"

10.0

Pristine, luxury, high end amenities, Carla and Chris are professional hosts. The meals are beautiful, generous, top of the line ingredients, made in house breads and desserts. Big comfortable beds, quiet and warm. Location is perfect for exploring the area, walks, beaches nearby. Could stay there a month! 10 stars! Richard and Mary
