Gold Coast Inn Traverse City

I was not able to access this property because of Technology malfunctions. We did not stay here & I sent several emails to Kasa requesting a refund. This evidently was not done & the Kasa charge appears on my credit card statement.

View of harbour was lovely. Very clean.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable.

The lack of toilet paper, Kleenex, towels for 2 nights, deadbolt lock on the door. There wasn't a worker anywhere to get us more toilet paper or Kleenex so had to get some Kleenex from the lobby. It was very eerie to go to sleep with no deadbolt on the door. Anyone with the code could have opened the door.

It is a good location.

It seems they have managed to take the hospitality out of the hospitality industry. The facts: 1. Room 201, smells musty upon entry 2. No folding rack for a suitcase so it has to go on the floor 3. Only one light bulb in the only lamp on the only bedside table (should be a table on each side of the bed) 4. Shower door leaks when closed so we had to use all the towels to mop the floor, had to procure two more from an open supply closet because, no front desk. 5. There is not an ice machine on the property. I used the only means of contact, texting, to ask about ice and it was suggested that I try the UPS Store or Fed Ex for bagged ice. All this for 150 a night.

A quick overnight trip. Bed was very comfortable, location was right on an all-purpose paved trail, and the hotel faced the water. There were even bikes to ride! Beautiful!

It is a very modern and clean property. The location is good (as long as you have a car). The common areas are really convenient for larger groups to gather. Communication with staff via email was good.

A few more amenities in the room would be nice while there is a coffee maker in the room and kuerig in the common area and that’s it. If you’re looking for snacks or there is a gas station nearby but it’s not very close to grocery or market. There is a trail behind the property for biking and or walking but I couldn’t find any information on what it connects to or how far it goes.

Bring your own washcloths. My daughter and I stayed there we were provided 1 washcloth. It is not actually bayside. The bay is across a busy 4 lane road
