Lodge Alta Crystal Resort – Avoid at All Costs Where do I start? We booked this trip with friends and, as always, checked reviews beforehand—but the glowing write-ups for this place must be fake. We booked a loft suite advertised as having a queen bed in the bedroom and another queen in the loft. What we got was more like a rundown 2-star (if that) property. The fridge was broken. The loft stairs were steep and dangerous—and impossible to get luggage up. There was no air conditioning despite 90°F heat. The “fan” provided roared like an aircraft hangar taking off. Pillows were stained, towels had marks, and sheets were ripped. The overall cleanliness was unacceptable. We were meant to stay for two nights but couldn’t face it. At 9:30 pm we found an Airbnb in Enumclaw that was actually clean and habitable, packed our things, and left. I travel a lot, and this is one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Do yourself a favour—don’t book here.

Not sure how you ever achieved the score that you have on TA as the reality to your false advertising is terrible. Anyone looking to book this place should have a look at some real photos. I do want to call out before listing the issues that the receptionist was ever so nice and helpful, but as we say in the UK her job is essentially attempting to polish a turd!! Needless to say we checked out and never stayed the night (two nights booked) for fear of infection. And have paid £500 to book an AirBnB 40 miles away. Issues (with pictures to evidence each item: Suite has two floors, the second floor is up a pretty steep and no handrails ladder. The bed upstairs has no head room. The suite has no aircon and temperatures were over 80deg!! The carpets had stains all over. The bedsheets had stains and were threadbare in places. The pillows were badly stained. The towels were stained. The fridge was broken (no door shelf). The advertised swimming pool had significant algee, as did the hot tub - both health hazards on their own. 4 person cabin - one glass, 3 plates. Extension lead and wires all over the floor. Smelt stale. I will stop here as I think anyone reading will get the gist. Now compare my photos to the website. I do look forward to the managers response as he or she defends the indefensible.

Positive: Wonderful beautiful place. Close to Mt Rainier National Park. Negative: TV didn’t work. Microwave up too high. Had to stand on chair to use (dangerous).

A very pleasant and convenient place to stay when visiting Sunrise at Mt Rainier. The queen bed room was like an apartment with a living room (fireplace) and kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker). Parking is easy. Hot tub, pool, play yard. Small store with snacks, pre-made sandwiches. There are also limited food options 15 minutes away at the Crystal Mountain Resort area and in the Snack Bar up at Sunrise (hot dogs, chili, snacks). The only negative is that the living room furniture and blinds are old and really need replacing.

closest dinning was probably 8 miles away at the Ski resort area. Closest gas station was probably 20 miles away. Close to Sunrise Mt Rainier entrance, but surprised how remote the lodge was.

We were able to check in early, the desk was quiet nice about it..the room was “good”, very tired looking and worn, expected this being so close to the park entrance, captive audience! Laundry service need a little tlc..other than that, beautiful area and easy access to park..thank you

Not sure where the 1 stars come from. Easy checkin/checkout. Room was super clean.

The pool needs maintenance, and the rooms have seen their best time. It's ok if you want to be close to the mountain, but I wouldn't recommend it
