Origin Austin, a Wyndham Hotel

Amenities were excellent. The front lobby was so welcoming and nicely decorated. Additionally, Adrian went above and beyond to make our stay very memorable more than once. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. Adrian is a gem!

I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like.

TV did not work properly, internet 😑, they charge me for water which I didn't drink.

Location, parking, walkability, giant park nearby. Friendly staff.

HVAC noise. It may have been inevitable since we were on the top floor. 12” deep cabinets are too shallow. Room was a little small. No coffee in lobby. Breakfast was a little small for the money.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights while we did a barbecue tour of the area. It is in a great neighborhood, with some fun restaurants and shopping nearby, and an Alamo Drafthouse right across the street. The facility itself is in great shape, it looks very new. We had a fifth floor deluxe queen suite, with a balcony, so a pretty nice room. The only reason I am not giving this location five stars is because of a few things with our room. The water pressure in the sink was almost nonexistent, just above a trickle. Also, we could not get the air conditioning to get below about 68° at night, and we like to crank it down at night. Lastly, the lights in the room would automatically turn off at night, even when we wanted them to stay on. They would stay on for a few minutes, then turn off automatically. I assume it is some kind of green energy setting, but it was frustrating. Lastly, there is a $25 per day parking charge to park your car in the public garage across the street from the hotel. That was probably in the fine print when we booked the reservation, but it was a surprise to me. I could understand a parking charge for a big hotel in an urban center, but this is a residential and commercial area outside of downtown, so that seems like an excessive charge. So, mostly good, but a few complaints about the place.

Alejandra, Jim Gain and Tiffany with chef Melissa were SO AMAZING!!! They anticipated the needs of their customers always, I come here for business a lot and I really look forward to the interactions with them and the food in the restaurant is so good, plus the downstairs of the hotel is a total vibe. Love staying here for work! Thank you again guys!
