"Quaint seaside inn with modern conveniences, but feel of yesteryear"

10.0

Breakfast was amazing quality, ordered off the menu. Service excellent. The location of the hotel is the best spot on the waterfront, with great view and easy access to the walking trails. Don’t miss the Cliff Path Loop for a scenic 2 hr leisurely walk with breathtaking views!

This is a small lodge built within the historic footprint and limitations of Howth building codes, so you’re not getting modern construction with completely soundproofed expansive rooms. Think quaint seaside lodge with the rooms above the restaurant. You are careful to keep voices down and tv and music level low. Sound carries. But we loved that because we opened the window and heard the seagulls and sound of the sea while sleeping. To me, these things add to the charm and experience of it, but others who may prefer a fully modernized stay with complete privacy and unable to hear the sound of any neighbor in the hallway, should book elsewhere.

"This is the best place to stay in Howth"

10.0

You can't beat this location. The view of the sea from the room was amazing. The staff went above and beyond. We needed to leave before breakfast so they prepared a simple breakfast for us to take to the airport. They also had the best bathroom of any of the hotels we stayed during our trip; rain shower head in a large shower, washcloths (not typical in Europe), and heated towel racks were just some of the amenities that made this special.

An elevator would have been nice, but really, everything else more than made up for it.

"Ein Hotel zum Seele baumeln lassen"

10.0

"Gorgeous small boutique hotel offering sea views and fabulous food"

10.0

Beautiful property with a wonderful on site restaurant. Breakfast was the absolute highlight of the trip and was just superb and every member of staff was helpful, friendly and lovely. Room was gorgeous, the view of the sea was a bonus and the property felt very central but was quiet and peaceful in the evenings to sleep. Would highly recommend and I look forward to coming back in the future.

"Average would be how I would summarise the 2 nights. Nothing bad nothing exception except for our lovely waitress in the restaur"

6.0

The initial sense I got on ringing to check if there was parking on site and to see if our rooms were ready was coolness. It almost felt that we should feel privileged to be staying in this establishment rather than paying guests. While the cooked breakfast was very tasty the buffet was extremely basic-no fresh pastries, no grenola only packets of cornflakes and weetabix. A small selection of fresh fruit but no strawberries, grapes, kiwis etc. When I asked if they had grenola I was met with a cool no. On the Saturday my almost 80 year old mother asked if she could have some chocolates to have with her cup of tea to which she was told no that these are only a gift on arrival. Now he did arrive up with more biscuits but it's the small touches that don't cost a lot that would make one return The food on the Saturday night was lovely but what made it a lovely experience was the beautiful staff who were so friendly. I would be slow to return.
