Super Frühstück, tolle Lage,

Zimmer Qualität war m.E. nicht so wie man das bei dem Preis erwarten kann. Fugen zwischen den Fliesen hatten dunkle Flecke, diverse Furnierabplatzungen, Zimmer höher als lang, ungemütlich, alles schlecht ausgeschildert.

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön.

Matratzen waren zu hart, würden aber nach unserem Hinweis mit Auflagen versehen.

It was unique and great place.

It was confusing where to go. There was a building with the word Hotel and an arrow to the right. We went there first.

We really liked how the room was tastefully furnished, its location is along the Elbe river for morning and afternoon strolls and the hotel has good parking, a restaurant and bar plus the Spa on the loft. It had everything for a nice weekend spa-cation.

The towels should be inspected before being placed in rooms. The ones that we got had stains and some even had frayed ends.

Beautiful location, great facilities (the spa has amazing views across the Elbe), very helpful staff (and a mercifully early breakfast).

South facing room gets warm from the sun in the summer. A minor quibble.

Very interesting place in a really nicely redone old industrial oil mill, with some rough edges remaining. Very nicely decorated and comfortable room and superb massive sauna on the top floor (free to use for hotel guests). Good facilities for cyclists and excellent breakfast buffet. Also a nice restaurant but quite busy: we could only get a table relatively late.

Prices are a little steep and quite variable from one weekend to another - also non-refundable so you commit to your bike weekend, rain or shine ...

Great historic location.

Very bad staff. Rude reception, waiters in restaurant incompetent and in no way helpful. We asked for recommendation of Wine, no response. And when the wine arrived it was planted on the table, not opened and we were not asked to taste. The food was average but okay. In the morning we were told that dog were not allowed in the dining room. Okay, but when we asked where we could have breakfast instead, the waiter said, “ I don’ t know, but maybe you can hide your dog? “ the hotel claims to welcome dogs! And check out was completely inacceptable. All though we had prebooked a room and told we would bring a dog ( 7kg) they told us that we have had a “wrondg room” and because of that we would be charched extra 40 euro. We had checked in with our dog in the reception, and they actually saw her, so one should think the receptionist could have given us a “right room”! We got a compensation after a very long discussion, it was very stessful. The hotel seems to have forgotten the death of eastern Germany… here it seems kicking and alive. No body is taking responsibility for anything. And nobody seems to have any kind of “ownership” for their place of work. Or any wish to make their guest happy. So sad. Because the surroundings are exeptionel, the Old Oil mill and factory are outstanding, and will when everything has been restored, have great potentials. The authencity and history is what the tourists cry for. But as long as the whole staff are so indifferent concerning their guests , it simply isn’t enough. We hope for improvement and maybe a better leadership?
