"Exceptional"

The staff person on duty late at night and early in the morning was very efficient and friendly, which made the stay at the Vanguard Motel very easy and nice. The room was very inexpensive, but was very clean and just right for our stay in Navasota!

"No bath for me"

Most everything was nice or above average.Staff was very helpful with where to go to eat,very friendly. The tub was nonfunctional for a bath.

The motel is in good shape and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I noticed that trains were running nearby most of the night, and they all blew their horns as they passed through town, so earplugs are a must. I also couldn't figure out how to change the indoor temp, but it was cool enough that I didn't need it after all.

"Nice surprise "

When I booked the room it was the last one on a very busy weekend. When we arrived, we were very pleasantly surprised. It is a small, off the beaten path motel. The clerk was very helpful and pleasant. You could tell it was an old motel but it was well taken care of, clean, beautifully decorated and supplied room.
