Ballykeel Farm, Mourne Mountains

Size was good, en-suit bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and property in general.

The twin bedroom was a bit cold compared to the rest of the house and the walls felt a bit damp.

Thoughtfully converted stables with an en-suite for each room, really cosy open plan kitchen/living area, lots of thoughtful touches, heating and hot water worked great, was very clean and Anne was a delightful host.

The twin room could benefit from a dehumidifier left in it in the winter due to higher condensation compared to the other rooms.

The house is situated nicely between Kilkeel and Newcastle with everything you need nearby. The house itself was nicely laid out and had en-suite shower rooms in all the bedrooms. My kids loved the layout of the house with the bedrooms being downstairs and the living room/kitchen being a mezzanine situated above the 1st bedroom. There was a massive field out the back for the kids to run about and a lovely peaceful view. The owners of the property are really nice and have a great knowledge of activities in the area. I highly recommend Ballykeel farm to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in beautiful quiet surroundings, well worth the money

Loved everything about Ballykelly farm the location was excellent the interior was beautiful had a lovely patio area with a big field would be ideal for a young family and it's dog friendly would definitely be back our host was beautiful nothing was a problem to her.

Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side,we had one good day and we're able to make the most of the facilities we had at Ballykelly farm (the stable)

The host is a lovely lady, very welcoming and friendly. The views are stunning. Free potatoes.

The proximity of the accommodation to the road ment there was alot of road noise.

Everything, the whole barn was amazing with the bedrooms all having en-suites and the living room being upstairs and opening out to the massive field and a private outdoor area with bbq and fire pit our children and dog absolutely loved the place. The place was very very well equipped with everything you would need and it has a wholesome feel and a relaxed feel to the place. There is loads of board games to use which we took advantage off and the beds were so so comfortable. There is loads owner Anne gave us loads of advice and tips and was so so lovely and made sure we were comfortable. We are looking to book again just to get away and relax as a family even with our dog who loved watching the cows in the field next to us. Thank you for an amazing stay and hope to see you soon.
