Duomo Seaside Deluxe Apartment by Ortigia Apartments

Location exceptional - perfect for popping to the square, a swim or watching life go by on the water. Great recommendations from Ortigia apartments of where to eat etc. It’s a beautiful and very stylish apartment, the photos don’t do it justice. We were given v clear instructions about how to check in, where to park etc.

The apartment was located right on the Piazza Duomo, within easy walking distance to everything. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean with extremely comfortable beds. We had a balcony overlooking the water and even saw fireworks for 2 nights! The hosts were very helpful when we had problems with the public garage.

1. Unmatched service. Grozdana who serves as customer care manager, is very proactive and available for any question and need. 2. Great location, next to the duomo, at the heart of Ortigia, with beautiful sea view. 3. Well equipped apartment with everything necessary for a family stay. 4. Even though there's no parking, €25/day valet service takes away most of the headache.

1. Air conditioning isn't great. There are two small air conditioners, one in the master bedroom which is OK, and another in the living room which doesn't suffice. There's a ceiling fan in the second bedroom which is helpful. 2. Electricity is shaky. Using two high wattage devices together (e.g., AC + washing machine) would lead to an electricity outage. 3. Great location comes at a price - there are very loud parties on the port every night. If you sleep on the sofa bed in the living room you might need earplugs. 4. Wi-Fi is far from great 5. Beds + furniture is somewhat dated. Given the above, the main problem is with value for money

Location. Lovely lady to greet us

This property was superb very large well equipped. it was very central stepping straight in Duomo square. at the back of apartment overlooked the stunning harbour.

There was nothing we didn’t like

Large, nicely furnished, fantastic views and location.

The city is full of feral cats. Many neighbors feed them and some of the cats find the courtyard to be a great place for gathering. Some of these cats put out loud, persistant cries that wake you anytime of the night. The city needs to solve this cat problem but many people find the cats adorable.

Great location right on the main Duomo Piazza, close to everything with sea views. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice décor and furniture well kitted out kitchen. Helpful and friendly staff giving support and helpful recommendations.
