"No customer service whatsoever "

They sent me multiple message informing how to contact them if any questions. Okay when shower and toilet got clogged nobody responded to my messages and txt even after we checked out next day. There is no front desk in this place so you are on your on.

"Almost great"

We stayed here and went skiing at Sierra at Tahoe. Great location, Convenient to restaurants and Sierra. Extremely convenient parking right in front of the door. Nice interior. Kids loved the bunkbeds. Nicely decorated and renovated. Only complaints related to noise: the walls are thin and you can easily hear the guests in the next room. Also, the heater is noisy and makes banging noises which woke me up. The kids slept fine and it is their favorite place to stay in Southlake Tahoe.

It was a cozy little room, with good amenities. Only thing is the walls are paper thin, you can hear the room next to you clearly with conversations. It’s was hard to get quiet or peace.

"Needs cleaning improvement"

We stayed in cottage 2 Bayview, which is a 2 bedroom condo. It’s tiny. It worked for 3 of us, but will be too tight for 4 people for sure. Living area sofa is a two sitter, three people can only fit in sitting tightly close to each other. Kitchenette is fully stocked and very convenient, but lacks dishwasher and hot water has no pressure. In general it’s a newly renovated place nice and modern, but it lacks general cleaning. There is so much dust on the door trim and shelves and watermarks on tiles in the bathroom, looks like cleaners are doing really poor job. I provided my feedback to property management, hopefully they take it to consideration.

We booked this place on Christmas Day for two nights and when we arrived, the place was not cleaned at all - at all…. There were towels everywhere (also on the floor), and the bed was a mess… anything that you can imagine. We called and messaged the contact multiple times to talk about alternatives with no response…. We then subsequently called multiple times and still no response….. We have also reached out to have Expedia to contact the property but also had no resolution. We had no option on that day, but to move to another hotel at the last minute, on the Christmas Day, and of course at an extremely high price. We have contacted the property for a refund, but received no response either. While looking at all the reviews now, it seems this is not the first time the visitor has this issue…. So just be mindful.

"A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT"

We stayed at the Emerald Bay Village in their standard 2-bedroom Bayview cabin. The place looked like it had been recently remodeled with a new bathroom, kitchen cabinets, counters, and flooring. That's where the niceties ended, and the reality kicked in. Overall, the cabin was very small and felt cramped. The queen beds literally filled the bedrooms leaving just enough space to walk around them and no space for anything else. Fortunately, there was a small walk-in closet to put my suitcases in - although it was cold, dark, with no interior light, and a door that could open only until it hit the bed. The bed had a white comforter and right in the middle of it was a large yellow stain the size of a dinner plate. After seeing that, I didn't feel clean in this place. Add to that, dirty baseboards throughout, counters not cleaned behind kitchen appliances, a dirty mini fridge, a kitchen faucet with no water pressure and only a weak stream of water coming out ... and the worst, a filthy plunger caddy in the bathroom with strands of someone's long hair wrapped around it. I wished I could just check out and leave. The bathroom was updated with a trough-like sink, fancy faucet, and tiled shower. Nice, trendy, but not necessarily designed with overnight guests in mind. There were no drawers to put anything in and no counter to put anything on. I used the back of the toilet tank and the toilet seat to hold my toiletries. We had 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels - that's it - rather stingy for a 2-bedroom cabin that I paid $280/night for (plus tax, a service fee and a cleaning fee). The soap dispenser was almost empty. Oh, and only 1 light bulb in the vanity fixture would stay on, while the other 2 flickered on and off (tightening the bulbs didn't help). Add to that, the handle to the faucet fell off into the sink. Who's cleaning and maintaining this place? It's not my job to "reach out" to the host to point these issues out. Remember, I'm the guest. I'm on vacation. And besides, it seems no one answers the property's phone number (Georgia area code) - they text - so don't plan on reaching a live person. I don't understand all the 5-star reviews for Emerald Bay Village that say it was "clean, comfortable and convenient". My cabin experience was neither clean or comfortable. And while it may be convenient to stores, the cabin was right near the main highway, and we could hear traffic late into the evening. Look at other critical reviews for Emerald Bay Village on sites like Expedia.com and Hotelsone.com and just be cautious about booking a place here.

"Worst place in South Lake Tahoe. AVOID!!!!!"

It was absolutey disgusting..to say the least. The beds looked as if they justvrolled out of them 5 seconds prior to me arriving. The trash was full in all rooms, cups and sink were like a toddler was learning how to make coolaide and spilled every lasy drop on the counter... i could feel the bed bugs plotting on me as i walked in. I immediately left and was promised a refund, but have not had any luck getting that back. The "landlord" will not answer any calls.
