The property looks into a road and is surrounded by builders who are allowed to make as much noise as they want everyday from as early as 7 a.m to as late as 5 pm. This property actually asks for a substantial deposit for, among other things, fines the guests may incur for making too much noise. However, on arrival the building works next door of drills, etc was so loud we had to stay indoors and put earphones in! When my fiancé and I complained Assured and Tailored just said there was nothing they could do about it as “Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate was in fact a housing estate where builders were permitted to make as much noise as they wanted from 7 in the morning to 5 pm in the late afternoon! We were then told we could play music to try drown out the noise! We feel insulted and robbed. At a very late stage we were offered a partial refund if we left the property and found somewhere else to stay… but we were only there two nights before flying back to London so this was pointless. There were also no batteries in the aircons, lightbulbs were missing and one of the wheels fell off one of the sun beds when I tried to move it! In short, my fiancé and I were appalled. I am originally from Zimbabwe so know what a ‘wildlife reserve/estate’ is … this is not one of them! A joke, and unfortunately for us a very expensive one. In summary? Don’t do it! Gillian

The swimming pool and villa is really private. We enjoyed quality family time.

The items on the countertop were sticky and we had to wash the items before we can used.

It was peaceful and had everything me and my partner needed, was perfect

Everything you need , plus pool was excellent for cooling , the drinking hole for animals was well used , with zebras , warthogs , various birds, and of course tortoise The veranda upstairs was good for sundowners, air-conditioning ket rooms nice and cool at night
