Mokrice Castle Estate

AMAZING!!! The rich history of the castle and restored buildings as well as the charm of the furniture also kept from previous centuries. The restaurant gave the same impression-modern menu in a restored dining room. The food was beyond delicious. The staff was above expectations - polite and well educated in history and gave us a tour around the castle and golf courts. Although it needs more restoration which I suppose is very expensive I hope it will stay as beautiful as I experienced it. I wish to express my gratitude to Izet and all staff at the Castle Mokrice for everything.

Property is effectively closed on a Monday. This isn’t clear on Booking.com but we received a message saying it was the staff day off. No restaurant, no bar, only a receptionist that closed at 8pm as did the castle gates. They recommended a restaurant that was 15 km away but taxi fare was €70 (return). There was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. They should not sell rooms for Monday as it isn’t open and is effectively a bed and breakfast.

We stayed here for one night during our trip and were very pleased with the experience. The hotel has a large and beautiful territory, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant located in the castle served very tasty food. There are also golf fields next to the castle, which create a nice atmosphere. A great place to rest and relax.
