Koukounari luxury villa

The villa is out of town and we didn't manage to work out the bus so a car makes things a lot easier. Otherwise a taxi costs E20 to town. It is possible to walk to a few local shops, Aldi is 15 mins walk and there are a couple of restaurants that you can walk to. The area is quite nice with woodland surrounding. There are nice views from the villa, it feels spacious and well equipped. Beds are comfortable and there are plenty of provisions in the kitchen, olive oil, fruit etc. Very clean, lots of towels, games, cinema room, bbq fuel. The beaches on the peninsular where the airport is are very nice, lovely restaurants and very close (20 min) from the villa. Carte Postale a bar/restaurant 10 mins walk from the villa has amazing views, cocktails and food - highly recommended but the service can be a bit iffy - still worth going though!

The pool is in quite a shady area and as we were staying in October this made it quite cold, we didn't spend much time in it. It is also much smaller than it looks on the photos and very shallow depth. We were a group of 7 adults. The bathrooms felt tight (one reasonable sized one upstairs and a very pokey shower room, one downstairs) Both showers not great but were hot. One of the upstairs doubles had a constant humming noise coming from the a/c unit (it wasn't being used) It didn't seem possible to unplug the unit from anywhere and despite a few messages to the owner to try and sort it out it wasn't solved. It was audible even with ear plugs in! There was also quite a lot of dogs barking in the area at night.

Everything was excellent. House is perfect for up to 9 people to go with friends or family. Very clean and full equiped. Manthos was the greatest host. Thanks a lot!
