Trevithick Cottage Sleeps 6 and Dog Friendly

The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped.

The carpet inside the front door has dirty marks when we arrived at the property. We thought the cleaning charge we paid upfront was too high

We liked the fact that the property was within a good location of all the main sights we wanted to visit of Cornwall, in general our experience of this lodge was okay as we had been given all the toiletries which made our short stay pleasant!

Firstly we felt as if this property is way too overpriced for what it is( we paid £502 in total for 3 adults & 2 kids for 4 nights) secondly we found out that the facilities like swimming and use of hot tubs, washers etc weren't included in our price & needed to be paid as an additional cost of £18, when booking this property on the site this was not clearly mentioned anywhere so this is very misleading and we weren't happy about this.In general the lodge itself had some cobwebs in the kids bedrooms and the kids beds themselves were very springy- my son who is 6 found it very hard & uncomfortable and was having trouble sleeping all night! The lodge itself was quite small from the inside as well as the hot water supply kept getting cut off and due to this we couldn't take showers or baths whenever or as often as we liked!

Küche war verdreckt! Kochtöpfe zum Teil nicht zu gebrauchen so dreckig waren diese. Wir haben uns Plastikteller und Plastikbesteck gekauft da wir uns vor diesem Geschirr in der Küche extrem geekelt hatten.

Loved our lodge. Whilst it was off season, for me, my wife and our dog, everything was lovely. We had a fantastic stay and would book again without hesitation. The staff were accommodating, friendly and helpful.

Not a fair criticism of the service or lodge, but there wasn't great areas to walk a dog with high exercise needs without driving. If you do drive, Hayle beach is incredible for your dog.

The chalet itself was lovely and had everything that we needed. It was clean and well equipped with some nice touches such as fresh milk in the fridge, plently of board games, some children's books and the bonus of bedding and towels provided was great too. Whilst the name of the properly suggested it was by the beach, it wasn't but it was a good location to be able to visit the places that we wanted to go to.

The site was tired, the restaurant/shop and clubhouse were very dated and the staff really didn't seem to want to be there. Whilst there was a pool onsite it was at an additional cost. The other guests/residents on the site were an interesting bunch, kids running around screaming and shouting until gone 10pm, dogs running around and barking, adults screaming and shouting, it didn't really make for the relaxed family atmosphere that we were hoping for and our children were quite intimidated by some of the goings on. Unfortunately, this would put us off going back.
