Hlíðarból Apartments

Large, clean and spacious 2 bedroom house. We didn't really use the kitchen but it seemed well stocked. The bathroom was clean and there is a washing machine. It is about a 10 min drive from the main highway and there is a good restaurant at a nearby campground that is a 5 min drive away. Grocery store and gas station 10 min away at the main highway. The only complaint I have is the towels were small thin and scratchy. Otherwise great stay!

It was lovely to have the 2 bedrooms, comfortable pull out couch. The kitchen was very well stocked, cookware and dishes in great condition.

It was overall awesome. However, they only gave us 2 towels and there were 4 of us on the reservation (counting 1 child). Also the towels were rough and not that comfortable but I think that is European style. It was such a cute little cottage and peaceful and quiet, and close to some of the waterfalls and some tasty restaurants. This appears to be one of 2-3 little cottages probably on someone's farm land (neighbors also seem to have these cottages too, they probably all rent them during the summer time).

The photos don’t quite do the apartment justice - it was really lovely and well-maintained, and was the perfect base for our trip to the south coast. It was easily accessed from the Ring Road and was close to town for convenience. Note that if you do not have a car it might be a little harder to get around, but it was perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed our short stay and already miss it!
