The Garrison House Inn

Room was smaller than expected and had dormers which I banged my head on a couple of times, bed was comfortable, shower stall was very small. There was an issue with the sink which was not their fault as they could not get a plumber on time. Breakfast was great and parking convenient.

It is a very old building, so it had a lot of very old building issues: super skinny and creaky/loud staircases so it was hard to carry heavy luggage up to the third floor, mold in the shower and bathroom, tiny room with angled ceilings so we kept hitting our head on it in both the main room and bathroom. No fridge in the room and no public ice machine so we had to ask staff for ice to keep our food cold. BUT the staff was very nice and very accommodating. The breakfast was nice. Location was great and the grounds were lovely.

Property does have the charm of an historic building. Staff offered help with luggage to third floor room. Good breakfast. Some creature comforts e.g. glasses in bathroom and access to power for electronics fell short. Felt overpriced to us.

Check in was quick and John was great. We had dinner at the Inn and it was an awesome fish dish. Good value and clean rooms

A lovely home, enjoyed our stay there very much. Breakfast was included and it was delicious! As well, we ate dinner at their restaurant and it was extremely good! (Just be forewarned, there is no elevator - we were on the 3rd floor. If like us you were traveling with large suitcases, we just took only what we needed in a backpack instead of trying to get two heavy suitcases up the stairs). Definitely recommend the Garrison House Inn!

In a great location for our stay. Breakfast was inclulded and dinner were great.

Overall, very enjoyable stay. Food and related service especially good. A lot of early Canadian history reflected in Annapolis Royal and the community is especially walkable to visit those historical sites.

The Garrison is a great place to stay it’s like staying with family. I wish I could of stayed longer. They went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable and the food is amazing. Thank you John, Deanne and Cody

Nice if you like bed and breakfasts! We do not, as we discovered! 8pm “curfew” is not for us. Dirty water glasses in the bathroom. Narrow stairs…. Very hot upstairs and when we opened windows, lots of mold on the sill…. Very comfortable beds and pillows…. Expected more for price… didn’t feel comfortable there!

Great location with walking distance to a lot of places. The building and rooms are outdated and no fridge in rooms. Staffs are nice and helpful. Breakfast is delicious.
