Best hotel in Williamsburg! Best service and cozy accommodations! Have stayed there on several occasions and always pleased!

This is our 2nd stay at the Penny this year and it was flawless. We had to check out unexpectedly early and the staff was very helpful in clarifying the policy regarding notification. Our room was clean, quiet and just right for two. We love the Penny - the location and staff couldn’t be better.

Wonderful amenities and room for the value. Excellent use of space and tastefully modern. Rooms seem to be sound-proofed, interface for curtains and everything is user friendly. Traveled with a toddler and had a mini fridge which is helpful. I will definitely be back!

The Penny was an amazing value and we will absolutely be staying here the next time we are in the city. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. Though small (as any NYC hotel room is), the room was thoughtfully designed, impeccably clean and stocked with everything needed for a weekend stay. Best of all, we did not hear any noise coming from above us or from neighboring rooms. This allowed for a surprisingly restful sleep in the comfortable bed! The hotel was situated close to two subway stations on the L train allowing us to get around the city with ease. Plentiful bars, restaurants, and coffee shops within walking distance as well.

This is our second stay here, and honestly, the room itself is what keeps me coming back. It’s small but efficient, clean, and I genuinely like the Dusen Dusen design touches — it’s one of the few hotels in the area that doesn’t feel generic. That said, the amenities could use some TLC. They give you loose coffee grounds, but who knows how fresh they are, and there were only two bags of tea… both looking a little past their prime. You can hear the highway, but it’s still quieter than staying at the Moxy on the other side of Williamsburg where the train overhead and hallway noise never let up. Since we have pets, they’ve put us in the back of the hotel both times, which definitely feels like a pattern. Parking is inconvenient and not attached to the building. And the destination fee — for what, exactly? It feels unnecessary and a little insulting, especially considering the location is just okay at best, basically under the BQE.

The water in the shower could have been warmer but nice and hot from the bathroom tap which was odd.

Great stay! Very conveniently located to stores and restaurants in Williamsburg and easy access to the train to Manhattan. Rooms are small but efficient. Coffee in room always a plus. The bar on 11th floor is great!!

Charming, clean, close to shops and restaurants in Brooklyn. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating! Great value in NYC.
