City Express Hostel

The location was amazing, I could walk everywhere I wanted to. The bathrooms were always clean, I don't know if I was lucky to be with sensible travelers or if the employees were cleaning more than once. The beds were very comfortable, and everyone had their own cupboards with keys. The bathrooms are individual.

I was very annoyed with the towel deposit. I gave a €20 bill, as that was the only money I had on me, with the assurance from the receptionist that I'd get it back when giving the towel back. When I checked out and gave the towel back, the receptionist could not find my money, and the only solution was to give me back in zł. It was my last day in the country, so I wasn't happy getting zł, and was really annoyed at how they just lost my money. The last floor with the kitchen and some rooms didn't smell great.

Cheap, comfortable beds

The staff makes very little to no effort the help you with anything outside of their basic duties such as checking you in. I changed my room during the stay and forgot a book in my old room. I met three receptionist who showed zero interest in helping me find it, they said I would have to find a cleaning lady myself and ask her about it and they made zero effort to help. I basically forced one to take 60 seconds of her time to go down and open the room for me so I could look for the book and she was very grumpy about it, that could be explained by the fact that I had to wake her up since she was sleeping in the reception. This was in the afternoon/early evening. I then met the forth receptionist and asked for her help. She texted one of the cleaning ladies and 2 minutes later I had my book. She was helpful and nice but the other receptionist gets a 1/10 in service. Also the ventilation was broken so the rooms were very warm and the air quality was poor.
