Hyggelig og hjelpsom vert. Trangt rom. Burde hatt noen flere kroker på veggen da det var ingen steder å legge fra seg klær. Litt mykt senger for dårlige rygger.

Excellent, spacious and very clean budget accommodation if you are happy with shared facilities

Shared Kitchen facilities a bit limited, but the cafe/restaurant next door is great and good value (NB: closes at 6pm)

Location to train, bus station and the start of hike just opposite. Kitchen and dining room very cosy, bathroom is clean and always available during my stay. I met 2 hosts, both nice and helpful! I left my luggage there for 2 days and they didn’t object any all. Superb host.

Please install at least a hook and a rack in the shower room. Kitchen sink way too small. 3 storeys high and No lift.

Everything seems very antique and old. the room bed site both lamps are not working, doesn’t really matter for me. bathroom Should have a hook and some racks. No space to put toiletries. Kitchen sink is way too small!

Good location in Andalsnes. Cute room, had everything we needed.

Parking: Upon booking a room at Tiglkak, I asked the host whether there was any space for parking and was informed that there was a parking garage. Upon arrival, we noticed that the "garage" only had space for one car, which was already taken, and so we had to find another spot to park our car at the last minute. Thankfully, there was a paid parking lot at only a few minutes walk. Cleanliness: When we arrived in our room, there was a pair of dirty underwear on the floor. We told the cleaning lady and she came to pick it up and apologized. As she was apologizing she mentioned that she had slept poorly the night before and did a quick cleaning job and didn't see the underwear... Aside from this, the bathrooms looked at though they were only half cleaned. The shower and toilet seat looked clean, but it was clear that other areas such as the top of the toilet and surrounding walls were not regularly being cleaned from the presence of dust and spider webs. Noise: Our room was right next to the common space (Yellow Room). The walls were very thin and we could hear people talking all the time. Thankfully the other guests were respectful and did not make noise late at night.

Clean, pleasant room with a good lock, close to the center of town but far enough from the street that it was pretty quiet.

The information to get in and out of the hostel (main door) was completely wrong and I found myself wanting to and unable to go out late at night because I would have had no way to get back in. The confirmation included a door code that ended in # and the electronic lock on the door didn't even have a # button, so it appears these instructions have been out of date for quite a while and it's pretty egregious that the person who checked me in didn't give me the updated information. Likewise, nobody offered me a towel to rent when I checked in, even though none was included in the room. These oversights are a pretty big deal, IMO.

Fantastic location central to everything!! (Sodahlhuset next door is a great place to eat, by the way.) Fun, quirky hippie vibes, which I dug, and interesting, colorful decor. Very useful kitchen and toilets near the room. Good, hot shower. Staff was helpful (and got me an extra towel to use at a sauna when requested!), although not always fast about it.

Staying on the 3rd floor and having to go all the way down to the basement and back for the showers was a bit annoying. More so was that my room was very cold, and the staff offered a radiator but it didn’t work. There was also a slanted ceiling that I hit my head on multiple times, and no outlets anywhere close to the bed (also a bedside lamp that didn’t work). I had deliberately booked the cute pink room and was given the less attractive yellow one. The sink in the toilets splashed everywhere. If it wasn’t for all of these things, this place would have been such a favorite of mine!! Still, it was cheap and ultimately the best option in Andalsnes for me, I think, so no regrets. I just wanted to love it more than I did.

The host was moving out the day I got there. She seemed surprised that I even wanted to talk to her and gave me absolutely no information. I never saw anyone else who worked there for the three days that I stayed. we ran out of toilet paper upstairs because clearly no one was coming and cleaning the bathrooms. I had to go down to the basement and take some toilet paper from one of those bathrooms so we would have some. The kitchen doesn't have any towels which is ridiculous and isn't a real kitchen at all. It has a sink that's not big enough to wash dishes in and a plug-in hot plate as a stove. I almost never leave reviews but I was very disappointed in this place.
